Chapter 1
Introduction
Welcome to the MOXA NPort 5400 Series of advanced serial device servers, which make it easy
to enable network operation of your serial devices. All device servers in the series come with four
serial ports. On the NPort 5410, the serial ports are RS-232 ports; on the NPort 5430/5430I, the
serial ports are RS-422/485 ports; on the NPort 5450/5450I, the serial ports are RS-232/422/485
ports.
