TROUBLE
CAUSE

Engine will not

1. ON/STOP switch in STOP
position.
2. Engine flooded.
3. Fuel tank empty.
4. Spark plug not firing.
5. Fuel not reaching
carburetor.
6. Carburetor requires
adjustment.
1. Move ON/STOP switch to ON
position.
2. See “Starting a Flooded Engine” in
Operation Section.
3. Fill tank with correct fuel mixture.
4. Install new spark plug.
5. Check for dirty fuel filter; replace.
Check for kinked or split fuel line;
repair or replace.
6. Contact an authorised service dealer.
Engine will
not idle
properly.
1. Carburetor requires
adjustment.
2. Crankshaft seals worn.
3. Compression low.
