Electric Motor Voltage Change Plug

The electric motor utilizes a Voltage Change Plug to switch
between 115V and 230V. The motor is set to230V by default.
To change voltages:

1. ALWAYS make sure the electric motor's

ON/OFF switch

is in the OFF position and the power cord has been
disconnected from the power source.

2. Remove the screws securing the plug to the motor casing

and pull down to remove the plug.

3. Turn the plug so that the side of the plug that says "Up

for 115V" and the arrow points away from the motor
(Figure 8).

4. Insert the plug back into the motor casing and tighten

the screws to secure it to the motor.

If overload protection should actuate because of improper
voltage or any other malfunction, turn the main switch on
the motor to the OFF position and correct the problem, press
the reset switch button, and turn the main switch to the ON
position.

When changing the voltage your electric motor operates
at, have a qualified electrician install the appropriate
receptacle plug for the new voltage. Failure to do so can
damage the motor.
