FAR-2XX7 Operation
This quick-user guide describes the most commonly used functions and features of the
FAR2XX7 series radars. It is not intended to be a substitute for the operator’s manual,
which should be referred to for more detailed information.
The FAR2XX7 can be operated via individual buttons and knobs on the full-sized
keyboard, (Shown below) or via the track-ball “point and click” method, which is
common to both the full-sized keyboard and trackball only control.

Use this control
to help eliminate
false echoes
from sea or wave
returns.
Eliminates /
suppresses
false
echoes from
rain returns .
Controls the
sensitivity of
the Radar
receiver.
Variable Range
marker –
Measure range
to targets with
this control.
OFF / ON to
hide / SHOW.
Silences
Audible
alarm
Switches
between
Transmit and
Standby
F1-F4 – These
are customizable
short-cut (macro)
keys that may be
programmed for
easy access to
features and
functions.
Place cursor on
an acquired
ARPA target
and press to
stop tracking,
or on an AIS
target to de-
activate
Place cursor on a
target and press to
track via ARPA
(Auto Radar Plotting
Aid) subsequent
press will hide /
show data box.
AIS - Place cursor on
an AIS target to
activate, subsequent
press will hide/show
data box. ARPA -
Place cursor on an
acquired target and
press to view data box

Bearing Line -
Measure bearing
to targets with
this control. OFF
