Q. RECTIFIER - Select:

TUBE (GZ34/5AR4 tube rectifier) for vintage tone.

DIODE (solid state rectifier) to boost power
output and low-frequency response.

R. FUSE - Replacement fuses must match the type and

rating specified on the rear panel of your amplifier.
Have the amplifier tested at an authorized Fender

®

Service Center if it repeatedly blows fuses.

S. IEC POWER SOCKET - The power line cord must be

connected to a grounded AC receptacle in
compliance with the voltage and frequency ratings
specified on the rear panel of your amplifier.

T. POWER - Switches the amp ON or OFF.

U. STANDBY - Use

STANDBY instead of switching

POWER OFF during short breaks to avoid tube
warm-up delay and related tube wear.

Use STANDBY for 30 seconds when switching

POWER ON to extend tube life span.

V. MAIN SPEAKER - Connection for the primary

8–ohm speaker (internal or external). See Speaker
Connections
below.

W. EXTERNAL SPEAKER - Connection for an

external speaker cabinet. This jack automatically
adjusts the amplifier to accommodate an additional
8–ohm speaker when one 8–ohm speaker is
already plugged into the main SPKR. jack. A single

4–ohm speaker can be connected here if an open
plug (no speakers connected) is inserted into the
main SPKR. jack.

Speaker Connections: ALWAYS keep

1 of these 3 speaker configurations
connected to the amplifier when powered
ON to prevent damage to the amplifier:

(1) One 8–ohm speaker or
(2) Two 8–ohm speakers or
(3) An open plug and one 4–ohm speaker

X. FOOTSWITCH - Connect the footswitch (included)

to activate Vibrato and to enable remote ON/OFF
switching of Reverb and Vibrato.

Y. CIRCUIT CONFIGURATION - Select:

STOCK for traditional Vibroverb™ tone

MODIFIED for hot “Texas Blues” tone using the
VIBRATO channel.

The NORMAL channel and the Vibrato effect are
disabled when MODIFIED is selected; this
increases preamp gain, allowing more distortion
and sustain for the VIBRATO channel.

NOTE: Switching circuits may cause a “pop” sound;
use STANDBY while switching to mute if desired.

Z. REVERB OUTPUT/INPUT - RCA jacks for routing

the signal to and from the Reverb tank.
