To maintain maximum benefits, lamps should be replaced annually.
It is important that lamps be replaced when the ultraviolet output falls below
minimum requirements for protection. Even though a lamp will appear to
be operating effectively because it still maintains the visible blue glow, the
ultraviolet output will be significantly reduced after 9000 hours of use.
