Clamshell Lighting Effect with the CatchLight
Clamshell lighting minimizes or eliminates harsh shadows and is often used
by professional fashion and beauty photographers for a glowing effect that
delivers glamorous portraits.
1. Position your light pointing down 45° and approximately 2.5 to 3 feet
from the subject.
2. Place the center of the CatchLight the same distance from the subject,
and aim it so the subject has a curved catchlight that follows the curve
of their iris.
Attach it to the Mini CatchLight with the touch-connect strips around the
edges of the fabric and Mini CatchLight.
