memorY noTes:
• It is noT recommended that the PT3802 Phone be programmed to dial
any Emergency Services telephone number such as 911. False alarms
are highly unlikely but possible.
• The phone will store up to 30 memory dialing numbers, each of which
can be selected to use for Emergency dialing purposes, using a simple
Yes/No option when in the programming function.
• In an Emergency situation, the phone will actually dial each Emergency
number programmed in sequence (up to 30). If it fails to reach anyone
after dialing all Emergency numbers, it will wait approximately 10
minutes and then repeat the dialing process again, meaning it will dial
up to 60 numbers in sequence.
• The two convenience memory buttons below the display ( M1 and
M2
) cannot be designated as Emergency numbers. These are for
convenience only. If you would like the numbers that are programmed
into these buttons to also be used for Emergency numbers, they must
be stored in the regular memory (30 memories).

When the pendant is activated (pressed) the phone will start dialing the
Emergency numbers stored in memory (up to 30). When a called party
answers, the PT3802 prompts the listener to press the
0 key to talk to the
caller, and then 1 & 2 if they want to stop the Emergency dialing process
from continuing. There is a built in announcement that gives this message
or the user can record a personal message.
Please note when the pendant has been activated, the user (or caller) can
hear the phone start the dialing procedure so they feel comfortable that
the phone and the Emergency response request is in motion.
Possible scenarios
If the called party picks up the call and presses 0 to talk but cannot
assist they should hang up and the phone will continue to dial the next
Emergency number in sequence.
