Using a System Bridge

The Pro16 System Bridge is used to combine up to four Pro16 data streams for

transmission over a single Cat‑5e cable. This setup simplifies digital snakes,

saves cable, and is easy to install.

At the Pro64 1x sample rate of 44.1/48kHz, four unique streams of Pro16 data

are available from the A‑Net Systems Interface. The following example shows

the use of a System Bridge connected to the ASI.

The System Bridge allows four Pro16 devices to be connected with only one

Cat-5e cable. Each AN-16/o module outputs a unique set of channels.

Four AN‑16/o Output Modules are shown in the diagram above, each

connected to an ASI using a pair of System Bridges. Each AN‑16/o module

outputs one 16‑channel block of audio channels from the Pro64 system (1‑16,

17‑32, etc.). Additional Pro16 output modules can be added to create digital

splits and copies by connecting the A‑Net Out port on the AN‑16/o to the
