POWER SUPPLY

The appliance should only be connected to 230V~ 50Hz electrical mains with a protective earth
connection. Always verify that the mains voltage at the place of use is the same as the voltage
indicated in the rating label on the appliance.

USING OF APPLIANCE

Before using the appliance for the first time:

1. Unpack the appliance and remove all the packing materials.

2. Carefully check the appliance to ensure it is complete and undamaged.

You should only use the appliance if it is complete and has not suffered any damage.

3. Before using the appliance for the first time, clean as follows:

a) Wash the glass jugs in warm, soapy water then rinse thoroughly and dry. Wash the espresso maker's

filter holder and filter in the same way. Also clean the filter coffee maker's filter holder and re-usable filter.
To do this, lift the water tank lids, swing the hinged filter holder to the right as far as it will go, then, lifting
upwards, remove the filter holder from its shaft and wash it. Once the cleaned parts are completely dry,
place them back in the appliance.

b) If, when you unpacked the appliance, no signs of damage were observed, run both espresso and filter

coffee maker through at least once to wash the inside parts, to clean them ready for use. You can wash the
insides of both parts of the appliance at the same time, as they can be operated either separately or at the
same time. To clean the insides of both parts of the appliance, follow the instructions for making espresso
and filter coffee, but do not put coffee in either the espresso maker's filter or in the coffee maker's filter (do
not put a paper filter in the holder either).

c) When the boiling water has run through the appliance, turn it off. Empty the water from the jugs, then

wash them again. Now the appliance is ready for use.

How to use the espresso maker

Attention! Fill the espresso maker's water tank with a maximum of 270ml of water. Always use the
glass jug provided with the appliance (part no.8) to measure the water you pour into the espresso
maker; the markings on the side of the jug help to measure the water. Always measure the water
accurately because the espresso maker will release almost all of the water.
