Installation
Battery Connections
Note:
If the system will not be used for an extended period of time (for example, two weeks), be sure to
disconnect the SCS 440 battery wires. If the wires are not disconnected and the SCS 440 is only
turned OFF, the system will continue to draw 0.25 milliamperes of current to maintain information
stored in the console computer, draining the battery.
1.
Route the red wire on the console control cable to the 12 VDC battery and connect it to the positive (+)
battery terminal.
2.
Route the white wire on the console control cable to the 12 VDC battery and connect it to the negative ( - )
battery terminal.
Important:
Do not connect the red and white wires to the machine’s starter.
3.
Secure the battery wires with zip ties.
Important:
Do not secure the battery wires near the existing battery leads or any other electrical wiring.
