9.2.1 Image

Authentication

Each image contains a digital signature, which enables the system to verify its integrity. The signature is
checked on replay, and this status screen will report either that it has been authenticated or rejected.

The signature is carried with the image if it is copied to CD and subsequently transferred to a computer, so
the replay software may also authenticate the image.
