Cleaning
Clean your meter as needed using one of the
following:
• 70% alcohol
• a solution of mild dishwashing liquid and water
• 10% household bleach solution (1 part bleach in
9 parts water) made fresh daily
With meter turned
off, clean outside
with a soft cloth
slightly dampened
with cleaning
solution.
• DO NOT get moisture into the Code Key slot or
the test strip guide.
• DO NOT spray any cleaning solution directly onto
the meter.

Caring For Your Meter
Storage and Handling
Keep your meter free of dust. Protect it from
extremes in temperature and humidity, and handle it
with care. Avoid storing in areas such as the bath-
room, kitchen, or laundry room. It is recommended
to store the meter together with the test strips at
temperatures between 30˚ and 86˚ F (2˚ and 30˚ C).
If meter is dropped, perform a quality control check
with the Chek Strip and the glucose control solu-
tions before doing a blood glucose test.
The Advantage travel case is designed to let you
store a variety of supplies you may need and helps
to protect your meter.
