3. DETERMINING FAVORED END OF START LINE

Before a race starts, the wind direction may have shifted and is no longer aligned with
the starting line. The Suunto M3 helps you to determine the favored end of the start
line.

1.Head to wind and check your bearing
from the boat compass.

Example: bearing to wind is 15°.

2.Adjust the Suunto M3 rotating bezel so
that the upwind bearing is parallel to the
black triangle on the inner ring.
