D D Transmitting an all ships call
Large ships use Channel 70 as their ‘listening channel.’ When
you want to announce a message to all ships within range,
use the all ships call function.
q Push [MENU] to enter the DSC menu.
w Rotate [DIAL] to select “A
Al ll l S Sh hi ip ps s C Ca al ll l,” and push
[DIAL•ENTER].
• “P Po os si it ti io on n I In np pu ut t” item appears when a GPS receiver
(NMEA0183 ver. 2.0 or 3.01) is not connected.
e Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired category, push
[DIAL•ENTER].
• Output power of ‘Routine’ category is 1 W (low power) only.
• The selectable category may differ according to the programmed
setting. Ask your dealer for the available categories.
r Push [DIAL•ENTER] to transmit the all ships call.
• Channel 70 is selected and the all ships call is transmitted.
