CPU Features Submenu of the Advanced Menu
The CPU Features Submenu configures the system
processor.
Note that this submenu only appears in certain
configurations, based upon the system CPU.

SpeedStep(TM)
Technology:
• Disabled
• Enabled
[Enabled]
When Disabled is selected, CPU speed is fixed to bat-
tery optimized speed. When Enabled is selected, CPU
speed and battery use can be selected from On Bat-
tery and On AC.
On Battery:
• Maximum Performance
• Battery Optimized
• Maximum Battery
• Automatic
[Battery Optimized]
When Maximum Performance is selected, CPU speed
is maximized. When Battery Optimized is selected,
CPU power requirements are optimized for battery
operation. When Maximum Battery is selected, CPU
speed
is optimized for battery operation. When Auto-
matic is selected, the CPU speed is determined by the
power source used.
On AC:
• Maximum Performance
• Battery Optimized
• Maximum Battery
• Automatic
