Setting up and Using the Tent
1.
Caution! The tent is held up by the spring tension of its supports. Use care when unfolding,
the tent can come open with some force. Carefully unfold the tent on a smooth, level surface
with the doorway facing the desired direction. Make sure no rocks or sharp sticks are under the
Tent.
2.
Using a rubber mallet (not included), tap a
Stake through each of the 4 Stake Loops.
Angle each Stake at approximately 70-80°,
with the top leaning away from the Tent.
3.
The included tie-downs can also be used to
secure the tent by the tie-down loops to
stakes or nearby stable objects, such as
trees or boulders. To help prevent tripping, ensure that the tie downs do not cross any pathways.
4.
Carefully read and follow all use precautions, as outlined in the
Safety Warnings and
Precautions section of this manual.
14. Warning! Keep all flame and heat sources away from the Tent. This Tent is not
fireproof and the fabric will ignite and burn if put in contact with any flame source. Tent
fires are very hazardous. Do not leave campfires unattended. Do not situate the Tent
near an open flame. Do not use lit candles, matches, or cooking equipment in or near
the Tent. Do not spray the Tent with insecticide or insect repellent; doing so may greatly
increase the flammability of the Tent.
15. CARBON MONOXIDE WARNING: Never use any fuel burning device that produces
fumes (including stoves, lanterns, candles, barbecues, or heaters) in or around
the Tent. These devices emit carbon monoxide, an odorless, colorless, toxic gas
that may cause personal injury or death.
16.
Always thoroughly extinguish fires when leaving the camping area.
17.
Always stake and tie the tent down securely. Often, wind can pick up without warning, causing
a hazard if the tent is not secured properly.
Warning: The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction manual cannot
cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It must be understood by the op-
erator that common sense and caution are factors which cannot be built into this product, but
must be supplied by the operator.
