Less friction allows the outboard
motor to turn more easily. More
friction helps to hold steady course
while cruising or to prevent the
outboard motor from swinging while
trailering the boat.
The steering friction bolt adjusts
steering resistance.
Use the clamp screws to secure the
outboard motor to the transom.
