Emptying the water tank for long
periods of disuse
If Iron Aid programmes are not run for
more than three weeks, the tank should
be emptied and refilled with fresh dis-
tilled water if required.
1. Open door in plinth in front of heat
exchanger (see chapter on ‘Cleaning
the heat exchanger’) and place a col-
lecting container in front of the appli-
ance.
2. Pull out the drainage hose under-
neath the heat exchanger (1).
3. Remove the plug from the end of the
hose (2) and allow the water to drain
into the collecting container.
4. Then seal the hose again and push it
back into its original position.
5. Close door in plinth.
