Lift headrest to the highest
position by pulling headrest
out while sliding up. This
will expose all harness
slots.

Press on harness retainer
release button and pull
apart.
Press red button on
buckle to release the
buckle plates. Place
harness over sides of child
restraint.

Determine which set of
harness guide slots works
best for your child. Adjust if
needed.
Check Harness Height
Rear-Facing Position:
Harness guide must be
even with or just below
the shoulders.
Forward-Facing
Position: Harness guide
must be
even with or
just above the shoulders.
If the harness guide is below the child’s shoulders in
the highest
harness location and the child weighs at least 40 lbs.
(18.1 kg) and is over 1 year old, convert the seat to a
belt-positioning booster.

Determine which of the
three available buckle slots
is both comfortable and
snug. Refer to “Removal
of Harness” to adjust
buckle.
NOTE: You must use the
1st and 2nd crotch strap
slots rear-facing. The 3rd
slot is for forward-facing
