USES OF THE TOP OVEN
The top oven is the smaller of the two ovens.
It is convenient for smaller quantities or
convenience foods. It is important to refer to
the top oven cooking chart as a guide to shelf
positions and gas mark settings as these may
differ from previous cookers you may have
used.
PREHEATING
It is not necessary to preheat the oven for
casseroles.
For recipes needing high temperatures such as
bread, pastries, scones, soufflés etc. best
results are achieved if the oven is preheated for
20 minutes.
When cooking or reheating frozen or chilled
food read the instructions on the packaging.
