When using the X/Y stereo microphone, select

for quieter or more

distant sound sources. Select

for louder sound sources.

Tip

It is always advisable to do a test recording to make sure that the

sound is at a useable level. If normal audio is overloading the GoPro
and sounds distorted, lower the gain by selecting the

setting. If the

audio level is too quiet, raise the gain by selecting the

setting.
