An electromagnetic diaphragm system, which is
a standard feature for Canon-mount lenses, is
now utilized in Nikon-mount lenses*. More
precise diaphragm and aperture control is
possible because the diaphragm blades are
driven and controlled by a motor through
electronic pulse signals.
