7. Response to Improper
Couple Signal
The proper response to improper couple
signal
(Figure 6) is as follows:
IMPORTANT: If a flashing red fifth
wheel icon and open
lock icon appears while
operating the vehicle,
immediately pull over
in a safe area out of the
flow of traffic. Follow
the steps outlined
below to determine
if the fifth wheel is
properly coupled.
1. Perform a visual inspection referring
to the instructions included in the
Owner’s Manual that came with your
fifth wheel.
2. If the visual inspection indicates that
the fifth wheel is properly coupled:
