USING THE APPARATUS
Hair should be clean and dry when using the
appliance.
Fitting accessories
. Turn the lock ring (c) until the arrow on the
handle (7) is aligned with the black arrow on the
lock ring.
2. Insert crepe iron/hair straightener (2), the
narrow hair straightener (4) or one of the curling
irons () in the socket in the handle and press
firmly into place.
. Turn the lock ring until the arrow on the handle is
aligned with that on the lock ring. The accessory
is now locked in place.
Warming up
1. Place the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant
surface, and plug it in (5).
2. Switch on by pushing the on/off switch (8)
towards the white symbol (above). The indicator
lamp (0) will light and remain on as long as the
appliance is on.
Setting the temperature
The appliance has three setting as indicated on the
temperature scale (9):
o switched off (black symbol, botton)
o medium temperature (black-white symbol,
centre)
o high temperature (white symbol, top)
Temperature can be regulated by pushing the on/off
button up and down.
Using crepe-/flat iron
Use the adapter (b) to change accessories such as
flat- or crepe irons.
o Make sure the crepe iron/hair straightener is
switched off and push down the adaptor until
the arrow is aligned with the two straight
lines – the accessory is now a hair
straightener.
o Push the adapter up until the arrow is aligned
with the two wavy lines – the accessory is
now a crepe iron.
o When the adapter is aligned with the dot in
the middle the crepe-/flat iron is locked.
Using the narrow hair straightener
The narrow hair straightener is used as a separate
hair straightener without an adaptor. It is used for
smaller locks than the crepe iron/hair straightener.
Using curling irons
There are three different sizes of curling iron: The
thinnest gives tight curls and the thickest loose
curls.
The larger the amount of hair treated at a time, the
looser the curls will be.
You can also make curls softer using the brush
accessory (2) and coil accessory () (see below).
Styling tips
Brush hair thoroughly before setting. Divide your
hair up into small sections, and deal with them
separately piece by piece as described below until
the desired result is achieved.
Creped hair:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5 cm wide and
close the crepe iron’s ceramic plates (a)
around the hair near the scalp.
o Keep the plates closed for approx. 0
seconds.
o Open the plates and close them again further
along the lock of hair.
Flat, smooth hair:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5 cm wide
(4 cm wide when using the narrow hair
straightener) and close the accesory’s
ceramic plates around the hair near the
scalp.
o Slowly slide the apparatus towards the hair
ends in a fluent movement. Keep the hair
tight to avoid kinks. For more lift in the hair,
smooth only the outer part of the hair lock.
Hair with a flick:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5 cm wide.
Hold the curling iron so that the jaw is at the
reverse side of the lock and close the jaw
close to the scalp.
o Slide the apparatus slowly towards the hair
ends.
o Finish by curling the last piece of hair a little
out at the ends.
Hair with a curl:
o Start with a lock of hair about 5 cm wide.
Hold the curling iron so that the jaw is at the
front of the lock and close the jaw close to
the scalp.
o Slide the apparatus slowly towards the hair
ends.
o Finish by curling the last piece of hair under
at the ends.
