2. Operation
The legal regulations must be observed for hitching and unhitching.
2.1 Hitching
x Place the drawbar eye at the centre of the funnel.
x Remove the single hand pin to open the coupling.
x Release the brake on the front axle of the articulated drawbar trailer.
x When connecting with a rigid drawbar trailer, the drawbar eye must
be as close to the centre of the funnel as possible:
Failure to observe this can lead to damage!
x Reverse the tractor vehicle slowly until the drawbar eyes and the
body boring are aligned.
x Close the coupling by inserting the single hand pin.
Inspection: The single hand pin must be secured after hitching.
2.2 Unhitching
x Secure the trailer against rolling away or extend support feet.
x Release the one-hand plug and remove it.
x Move the tractor vehicle forwards.
Note:
During operation without a trailer, close the coupling with the
single hand pin to protect the lower sleeve against dirt.
