A60 Two-Channel Power Amplifier User Guide
1 UnPACk The A60
Your A60 is supplied with the following components:
•
Trigger cable.
•
Mains cable.
•
One pair of white gloves.
Please use the gloves when handling the unit to avoid 
leaving fingerprints.
If any of these are missing please contact your supplier. 
We recommend you retain the packaging in case you need 
to transport the unit at a later date.
PosiTioninG
For BEST results position the A60 on a stable audio rack.
WARNING: Leave a space of at least 50mm
around the sides and top of the amplifier to allow 
adequate ventilation.
The on/off switch is on the back panel.
Front-panel indicator
The front-panel indicator shows the standby/on status:
•
Low intensity indicates standby.
•
Bright indicates on.
ConneCT sPeAkers
The A60 is designed to be connected directly to two 
loudspeakers.
The terminals can accept speaker cables terminated with 
spade terminals or banana plugs.
To connect to two loudspeakers
•
Connect the LEFT SPEAKER + and – terminals to the
appropriate terminals on the left speaker.
•
Connect the RIGHT SPEAKER + and – terminals to the
appropriate terminals on the right speaker.
For best results with single-wire connections use the 
lower pair of terminals.
To bi-wire to two loudspeakers
The A60 provides two pairs of loudspeaker terminals for 
each channel, to allow you to connect to the treble and 
bass units of each speaker using separate cables.
•
Connect one pair of the LEFT SPEAKER + and
– terminals to the treble unit on the left speaker.
•
Connect the other pair of the LEFT SPEAKER + and
– terminals to the bass unit on the left speaker.
•
Wire the right speaker in a similar way.
For best results when bi-wiring use the lower pairs of 
terminals for the mid/high units and the upper pairs of 
terminals for the bass units.
ConneCT inPUTs
•
Connect the A60 to each channel of the preamplifier or
processor using either the unbalanced RCA input, or 
the balanced XLR input, as appropriate.
•
Put the INPUT switch in the appropriate position for
the inputs you are using.
If you are using the RCA inputs use high quality stereo 
RCA leads.
If you are using the XLR inputs use balanced XLR cables.
ConneCT Power
Connect the power connector on the back panel to your 
power outlet using the mains cable supplied with the A60. 
If this cable is not suitable for your power outlets please 
contact your supplier for an alternative cable.

WARNING: Before connecting power check that
the required supply voltage, indicated on the back 
panel, corresponds to your local AC supply.
If a different voltage is stated on the type plate do not 
connect the amplifier to the mains power, and seek 
advice from your dealer.
WARNING: Always disconnect the A60 from the
mains power before connecting or disconnecting 
any cables.
