INTRODUCTION
To get the best out of your new appliance,
please read this user guide carefully before
using it for the first time. Take particular
note of the safety precautions. We also
recommend that you keep the instructions
for future reference, so that you can remind
yourself of the functions of your appliance.

SAFETY MEASURES
Normal use of the appliance
• Incorrect use of this apparatus may

cause personal injury and damage to
the appliance.

manufacturer is not responsible for
any injury or damage resulting from
incorrect use or handling (see also
Guarantee Terms).

The appliance must be earthed.

• Do not submerge in water or any other

liquid.

• Keep the appliance under constant

supervision while in use. Keep an eye
on children when the appliance is in
use.

• Always place the appliance on a level,

and stable surface at the back of the
kitchen counter.

• Only switch the appliance on:
o when the glass jug is fitted
o when the glass jug contains liquids
or food
o when the lid and the stopper are in
place.
• The safety device prevents the

appliance from starting if the glass jug
is not fitted.

• Never pour boiling liquid or food into

the glass jug. Make sure the food is of
a temperature, where it can be handled.

• Never fill the glass jug above the mark

“1250 ml/1.25 l” on the jug.

• Do not use the glass jug, if it is any way

chipped or broken.

• Never insert utensils or hands into

the glass jug, while the appliance is
switched on. Please note that the cutter
may rotate for a while after you switch
off the appliance.

• Turn off the appliance and remove the

plug from the socket when cleaning, or
when not in use.

WARNING: When mixing hot liquids/foods
excess pressure may build up inside the
blender, and this could make the lid
come off and the contents splash out.
We therefore recommend that you avoid
mixing excessively hot foods and that you
only put very small quantities of hot liquids
or foods into the blender.

Cord, plug and mains socket
• Do not allow the cord to hang over

the edge of a table/counter, and keep
it away from hot objects and the hot
surfaces of the appliance.

• Check that it is not possible to pull

or trip over the cord or any extension
cord.

• Remove the plug from the socket when

cleaning, or when not in use. Avoid
pulling the cord when removing the
plug from the socket. Instead, hold the
plug.

• The cord must not be twisted or wound

around the apparatus.

• Check regularly that neither the cord

nor plug is damaged and do not use if
there is any damage, or if it has been
dropped on the floor, dropped in water
or damaged in any other way.

• If the appliance or plug is damaged, it

must be inspected and if necessary,
repaired by an authorised repair
engineer, otherwise there is a risk of
electric shock. Never try to repair the
appliance yourself. Please contact
the store where you bought the
appliance for repairs under guarantee.
Unauthorised repairs or modifications
to the appliance will invalidate the
guarantee.
