Drying and styling hair
■ To quickly dry hair, we recommend fi rst of all using a high blower and heater
setting for a short period. Also, place the Ionic switch-in 4 at the position
“
”. After drying the hair, switch to a lower blower and heat level to
shape the hairstyle.
■ With the supplied styling jet 1 you can apply a directed airfl ow to shape
and style your hair. Attach the styling jet 1 onto the front of the hair dryer,
such that it engages and is fi rmly seated into place. You can then turn the
styling jet 1 into the desired position.
■ If you wish to dry your hair particulary gently, or create a so-called “air-
dryed permanent wave”, then use the diff usor attachment 8. To do this, if
needs be fi rst detach the styling jet 1 and then attach the diff usor attach-
ment 8, such that it engages and is fi rmly seated into place.
■ Before you comb your hair out, allow it to cool so that the shaping and styling
can retain its form.
■ For cooling the hair you can use either the “Cool Shot” button 7

or
level 1 of the heat level switch 6.
Cleaning
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
► Always remove the mains plug from the socket before you clean the appliance.
► Under no circumstances may you immerse the appliance in water or other
liquids when cleaning it!
► After being cleaned, the hair dryer must be completely dry before using it
again.

► Allow the appliance to cool suffi ciently before cleaning it.
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use any aggressive cleaning liquids or solvents. They could damage
the surface.
Cleaning the housing
■ Use a soft cloth lightly moistened with a mild soap solution to clean the housing
and attachments.
