Connecting to the Mains
Connect the power plug of the power cord (26) to an easily accessible wall
outlet.
Remote control
ƒ Open the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
ƒ Insert two of the supplied batteries with the correct polarity into the battery
compartment. Note the + and – icons on the batteries and inside the battery
compartment.
ƒ Close the battery compartment.
Inserting the Backup Batteries
In order to avoid having to set the time each time you power the device off by
using the On/Off button (25) or after a power failure, you can use the supplied
backup batteries. This keeps the clock alive over a longer time.
Proceed as follows:
ƒ If it is still powered on, power the device off.
ƒ Open the battery compartment (24) on the back of the device.
ƒ Insert two of the supplied AAA-sized batteries into the battery compartment
respecting the correct polarity. Note the + and – icons on the batteries and
inside the battery compartment.
ƒ Close the battery compartment.
If you have programmed a wakeup alarm, it will also be
backed up by the batteries. If a short power failure occurs at
night, the system will wake you up successfully the next
morning whenever backup batteries are used.
