•
Please make sure that the refrigerant circuit (lines on the
interior 4 and on the rear of the appliance, compressor 8)
is not damaged.
•
Do not put the appliance into operation if the refrigerant
circuit is showing signs of damage.
•
Do not use any pointed or sharp objects to clean, defrost
or remove deep-frozen goods and ice. This may damage
the refrigerant circuit.
•
Please use only the supplied ice spatula 12 to remove
partially thawed, loose ice. Do not touch the refrigerant
circuit 4 in the process.
•
If the refrigerant circuit is damaged, ventilate the room
thoroughly, disconnect the power plug and keep all
sources of ignition and naked flames at a distance with-
out fail.
In this case, please consult the Service Centre.
•
Never use any electrical devices in the interior of the ap-
pliance.
•
Never handle sources of ignition or naked flames in the
interior of the appliance.
•
Position this appliance in a room with a capacity of at
least 4.5 m
3
. In the event of a leak in the refrigerant cir-
cuit, an inflammable mix of refrigerant and air may form in
rooms that are too small. The room must provide a ca-
pacity of at least 1 m
3
for every 8 g. This appliance con-
tains 35 g refrigerant.
•
Always ensure that there is sufficient ventilation around
the appliance. To do so, comply with the clearances
specified in these instructions, do not cover the compres-
sor and do not close any of the openings on the appli-
ance.
DANGER for children
•
Packaging material is not a toy. Children must not play
with the plastic bags: there is a risk of suffocation.
•
This appliance is not designed to be used by people (in-
cluding children) with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or people without adequate experience and/
or understanding unless they are supervised by someone
responsible for their safety or are instructed by someone
how to use the appliance.
•
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not
play with the appliance.
DANGER of electric shock due to moisture.
•
Do not immerse the device, the power cable or the power
plug in water or any other liquid. The appliance must not
be allowed to stand in water.
•
Protect the appliance (except the interior) from moisture,
water drops and water spray.
•
Disconnect the power plug immediately if liquid has pen-
etrated into the housing of the appliance. Have the appli-
ance checked before re-using it.
DANGER of electrocution
•
Connect the power plug to the wall socket only when the
freezer has been finally positioned and aligned straight.
•
Only connect the power plug to a properly installed wall
socket that is easily accessible and delivers voltage
matching the rating plate 7. The wall socket must also be
easily accessible after connection. If this is not possible
on your premises, it must always be possible to discon-
nect the appliance from the mains, for instance with the
fuse.
The wall socket must be fitted with protective contacts.
•
Do not use any extension cables or multiple sockets.
•
Take care that the mains cable is not damaged by sharp
edges or hot surfaces.
•
When transporting and setting up the appliance, make
sure that the power cable is not trapped or crushed.
•
The appliance is not completely disconnected from the
mains even after being switched off. To do so, unplug.
•
When unplugging the appliance from the socket, always
pull on the plug and NOT the cable.
•
Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket…
… if there is a fault
… if you are not using the freezer,
… before you move, defrost or clean the freezer.
•
If there is visible damage to the appliance or the mains
cable, do not use the appliance.
•
To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the appli-
ance. The mains cable must not be replaced by a non-
specialist. Repairs must be carried out by a specialist
workshop or at the Service Centre.
DANGER of being frozen
•
Do not touch frozen goods and cold surfaces in the freez-
er with wet hands.
•
Do not consume ice cubes or ice cream immediately after
removing them from the freezer.
WARNING about material damage
•
Do not tilt the appliance further than 45°. Never lay it
down horizontally. This may damage the refrigeration
system.
•
After moving the appliance, allow it to stand for 24 hours
so that the refrigerant circuit can settle. Do not put the ap-
pliance into operation until after this time.
•
Move the appliance only when it is empty.
•
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
