If the scale is in the time mode

, press the MODE button

once to switch into the weighing mode.
Note: Shortly before the scale switches into the weighing
mode, the scale shows “HELO” in the display for 1–2 sec-
onds.
1. Place the kitchen scale on a solid, flat surface.
2. Press the MODE button

once to change the weight
unit indicator (g / ml / lb’oz / fl’oz).
3. Place the substance to be weighed on the scale. The
weight of the substance being weighed is shown in the
LC display

.
Incremental weighing (Fig. A)
1. Follow steps 1 to 3 of the section on “Weighing” and
press the TARE button

. The LC display

shows 0
and the TARE symbol

appears.
2. Add another substance to be weighed to the scale. The
LC display

shows the weight of the newly added sub-
stance.
3. If you remove the added substance from the scale, the
LC display

shows 0.
4. If you remove all of the substances to be weighed from
the scale, the LC display shows a negative value

5. Press the TARE button

once and the TARE symbol

ceases to be displayed.
If there is no substance to be weighed on the scale and if 60
seconds elapses without a button being pressed or no movement
on the scale plate is noted, the scale switches automatically
into the time mode

= The scale is overloaded. A signal tone is sounding.
= Remove the overload.

= The batteries are too weak to weigh. You cannot operate
the scale.
= Replace the batteries (see section “Replacing the batteries”).
Note: This device has delicate electronic components.
Therefore interference may occur when it is near devices
which transmit radio signals.
If errors occur in the display, remove any such devices from
the vicinity of the product. In the case of such malfunctions,
remove the batteries briefly and then insert them again.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Do not use chemical cleaners, scouring agents or sharp
objects for cleaning. These can damage the product.
Never immerse the product in water or other liquids. This
can damage the product.
Clean the product with a slightly dampened, fluff-free
cloth. To remove more stubborn dirt, you can also
dampen the cloth with a weak soap solution.
