4.3 Connecting the appliance to the

mains

1. Plug the mains lead 3 into the socket 9.
2. Connect the mains lead 3 with the mains

supply.

4.4 Connecting the appliance to the car

electrical system

Note:

When operated on a vehicle 12 V

system the cooling and warming
performance is not quite so high as when
operated on 230 V mains (see "7. Technical
Data" on page 31).
1. Plug the car lead 11 into the socket 8.
2. Connect the car lead 11 to the car elec-

trical system, e.g. the cigarette lighter.
Note:

You may need to pull the red cap

off the car plug.

4.5 Selecting a function

Use the function selector 6 to select the
required function:

OFF:

appliance is switched off.

WARM:

appliance warms and the red

indicator 10 lights up.
COOL:

appliance cools and the green

indicator 5 lights up.

4.6 Select operating temperature

Set the operating temperature on tempera-
ture selector 4. Set temperature selector 4 to

for minimum output. Refrigeration per-

formance can be increased, if required, by
turning temperature selector 4 towards
(maximum output). However, this will
increase energy consumption. To save
energy, output can be reduced again by
turning temperature selector 4 back towards

(minimum output).

4.7 Emptying the drip tray

Condensation water may collect in the drip
tray 12. Depending on the duration and
intensity of operation, the drip tray 12
should be checked regularly and emptied if
necessary:
1. Pull the drip tray 12 forwards and out.
2. Empty out any condensation water

present.

3. Push the drip tray 12 back in.

4.8 Setting the temperature for

warming

If the WARM function is selected the
appliance warms and the red indicator 10
lights up. It is neither necessary nor possible
to set the temperature separately.
