8.2 Italian sandwich
Ingredients:
— Toast bread
— Tomato purée
— Tomatoes
— Mayonnaise
— Herbs of Provence
— Sliced mozzarella cheese
— Salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Stir together the tomato purée,
mayonnaise, salt, pepper and herbs of
Provence to make a paste.
2. Spread the paste onto the slices of
bread.
3. Wash, dry and thinly slice the tomatoes.
4. Fill one of the ready-spread bread slices
with slices of tomato and mozzarella
cheese.
5. Cover with a second slice of buttered
bread.
6. Toast the sandwiches as described in
“6. Preparing sandwiches” on page 8.

9.1 Appliance
The symbol with the crossed-
out rubbish bin on wheels
means that within the European
Union, the product must be dis-
posed of to a sorted rubbish
collection. This applies to the product and all
accessories which are marked with this sym-
bol. Marked products must not be disposed
of via the regular domestic waste but must
be handed in to a recycling centre for elec-
trical or electronic devices. Recycling helps
to reduce the use of raw materials and to
relieve the environment. You can obtain
information about disposal and the location
of your nearest recycling centre from your
local waste management service, for exa-
mple, or Yellow Pages.
9.2 Packaging
If you wish to discard the packaging, please
observe the applicable environmental
regulations in your country.
