Please note that the appliance does not switch off automati-
cally when in the keep hot function. You should therefore never
leave the appliance unattended!

As soon as you take the kettle off the base 5, the ON/OFF switch 3
clicks up and the control lamp 4 goes out.

To interrupt the heating process, press the ON/OFF switch 3 back
up. The operating light 4 also goes out.
Do not set the temperature control 6 in the transition area
between the "keep hot range" (black) and the "boiling range"
(red) since the water can start to boil due to the diff erence in
water levels.
TIPS

This appliance is equipped with an overheating protection function: if the
appliance is switched on unintentionally without any water in the kettle, the
appliance switches itself off automatically.
If the appliance boils dry because the lid 1 has not been closed, for
example, the appliance switches itself off automatically. In these cases,
allow the appliance to cool down before using it again.
Cleaning and care

Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the power plug from the mains
power socket! Otherwise there is the risk of receiving an electric shock!

Never open any housing parts. There are no user-serviceable elements
inside. When the housing is open, there is the risk of receiving a potentially
fatal electrical shock.
Never immerse the appliance in water or other fl uids! Risk of elec-
trocution if residual liquids come into contact with live components
during operation.

Allow the appliance to cool suffi ciently before cleaning it. Risk of burns!
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. These can attack the
surface and damage the appliance beyond repair.
