Safety Information / Use
If using the string of lights 1 outdoors, make sure it is connected to a
socket which is protected with a faulty voltage protection switch (FI or
RCD) for a maximum faulty voltage up to 30 mA.
The string of lights 1 is protected against splashes of water (IP44) as
long as the socket meets the minimum protection standard (Example of a
BS plug socket: Clipsal 56S0313).
If in any doubt about the safe installation or use of this product, please
consult a qualified electrician.
Make sure the string of lights 1 is not laid down in areas where lawn
mowers, trimmers, scissors or similar cutting tools are used.
Only use the string of lights 1 if all fittings 6 are equipped with bulbs 7 .
Use
Using the string of lights
CAUTION! The bulbs 7 can become loose during transport. Make sure
before starting that all the bulbs 7 are properly in the fittings 6 .
First fit the decoration 2 on the bulbs 7 (see Fig. A).
 CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Be very careful when you are doing
this. The bulbs 7 may otherwise be damaged.
Insert the supply line plug into the socket of the power pack 3 . Tighten
the cap nut in clockwise direction.
Push the ground spikes into a suitable surface (lawn, etc.).
Note: Arrange the decorative lights so that the distance between each
ground stake is at least 2 m.
Plug the power pack 3 into a suitable socket. The lights are switched on.
To switch the lights off, remove the power pack 3 from the socket.
Changing bulbs
DANGER TO LIFE BY ELECTRIC SHOCK! Always
unplug the power pack 3 from the socket before installation, dismantling,
maintenance or cleaning.
CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! Allow the string of lights 1 to cool
down completely before changing the bulbs 7 .
First lift the decoration 2 up and off the bulbs 7 (see Fig. A).
 CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Be very careful when you are doing
this. The bulbs 7 may otherwise be damaged.
Remove the faulty bulb 7 from the fitting 6 by bulb remover 5
(see Fig. B).
Plug a new bulb 4 into the fitting 6 .
CAUTION! Make sure that the type, operating voltage and wattage
are correct. Never use other than the stated bulbs
7 .
CAUTION! The bulbs 7 have a plug-in system. Never screw the bulbs 7
in. This can cause damage.
Note: the bulb 7 will only light up if it is fitted the right way round.
The marks on the bulb 7 and the fitting 6 have to be in line with one
another (see Fig. B). Remove the bulb 7 if it does not light up and
replace it in the opposite direction.
Note: make sure that the wires are pointing upwards and that there is
no foreign matter in the fitting

Replace the decoration 2 over the bulb 7 (see Fig. A).
