Starting up
Changing the rechargeable battery
Note: You will need a crosshead screwdriver for this step.
First push the AUTO / OFF switch 11 to the OFF position.
Take the decorative attachment 1 off the rod with the LED
light bulb 3 .
Pull the rod with the LED light bulb 3 off the middle rod 6 .
Open the battery compartment 10 on the bottom of the solar
casing 5 . To do so, unscrew both screws using a crosshead
screwdriver .
Remove the used rechargeable battery 9 .
Insert a new rechargeable battery (NiMH, AA, 1.2 V /
600 mAh) into the battery compartment 10 .
Note: Ensure correct polarity. This is indicated in the battery
compartment

Close the battery compartment 10 . To do so, screw in both
screws using a crosshead screwdriver .
When you close the case 5 , make sure that the cables are
not pinched.
Place the rod with the LED light bulb 3 onto the middle rod 6
again.
Place the decorative attachment 1 back onto the LED light
bulb 2 .
