Pull the folding stand from the rear of the E5, allowing viewing at a
comfortable angle.
The reset button is located inside the small hole labeled RESET. If the
E5 operates erratically, poke a paper clip into the reset hole to reset
its microprocessor. This does not erase memory, but does reset the
clock to 0:00.
With the E5 turned off, one press of the lock button prevents
unwanted turn-on. When it is turned on, one press of the lock button
prevents unwanted frequency changes; two presses lock all buttons
except the POWER/SLEEP button. Deactivate lock with a long (about
2 second) press of the lock button.
The signal strength indicator shows relative strength of AM and SW
signals. When signal strengths are somewhat weak, it is normal for
the indicator’s level to fluctuate. The indicator is not functional with
FM signals.
