Safety Instructions for Circular Saw Blades

Read before operation!

The circular saw blades correspond to the DIN EN 847-1 standard.
They are compound tools with cutting tips made of carbide (HW
or HC), stellite (ST) or polycrystalline diamond (DP), which are
bonded – in this case brazed – onto the body of the saw blade.

Always store circular saw blades in the original packaging; the
saw blade must otherwise be protected against damage by
other means. Store saw blades in a dry place and away from
aggressive media. Handling circular saw blades carries a risk
of injury on account of the very sharp cutting edges.

Use circular saw blades only for their intended use to cut, trim or
channel wood, wooden materials and related materials such as
plastics, light metals and non-ferrous metals, and compound
materials according to the manufacturer’s instructions on wood-
working machinery.

Operation with manual and / or mechanical feed.
Operation is against the direction of feed; operation in the same

direction is only permitted with mechanical feed. The direction of
rotation must be maintained, and the maximum speed must not
be exceeded. The machinery manufacturer’s regulations must be
observed.

Circular saw blades must be checked carefully for defects or
damage by an expert prior to installation.
If there are visible or otherwise recognisable signs of defects or
damage, do not install the circular saw blade, or immediately
stop working and mark the circular saw blade clearly so that it is
not used again before it can be checked and approved for
further use by an expert.
Cracked or similarly damaged circular saw blades must not be
welded or repaired in any other way.

Installation of the circular saw blade and operation of the
machine must only be performed by specially trained personnel
who have been instructed on safety.
Pay attention to the operating manual for the saw blade and the
machine.
Secure the machine to prevent it from being switched on uninten-
tionally.
Mount the circular saw blade only with the correct clamping
flanges intended for the saw blade by the manufacturer and
only with the intended tools and the tightening torque specified
by the manufacturer.
Tools and tool body must be mounted so they cannot come
loose during operation.
Clean dirt, grease, oil and water off clamping surfaces.

The following pictograms are used in these operating instructions / on the device:

Wear safety gloves

Wear protective glasses

Use a respirator mask
