Safety instructions / Before Initial Use Safety instructions
If using universal swivel couplings (coupling
discs) always use locking pins. Whip-check
hose safety cables must be used for protection
in the event the connection between the hose
and the machine or in between hoses fails.
Ensure not to exceed the maximum
pressure specified on the machine.
Never carry pneumatic tools by the
hose.
Original accessories / tools
Use only the accessories detailed in the
operating instructions. The use of inserted
tools or accessories other than those recom-
mended in the operating instructions could lead
to you suffering an injury.
Before Initial Use
Check that all of the unit‘s parts are in perfect
condition.
Selecting the sanding disc
Surface and stripping:
The quality of the surface und stripping performance
are determined by the grit size of the sanding disc.
Use the corresponding grinding discs with
different grain sizes for processing different
materials.
Changing the sanding disc
The compressed air orbital sander is fitted with
hook and loop fastening, allowing for quick and
easy sanding disc changes.
Lift the grinding disc at the side and pull it off
the disc wheel 6 .
Note: Clean any dust or dirt off the disc
wheel
6 before attaching a new sanding disc.
Be sure the openings in the sanding disc match
the openings on the disc wheel 6 .
Establishing connections
Note: Only use connection hoses
with a minimum inside diameter of 9 mm.
First wrap some Teflon tape (not included) around
the external threads of the plug nipple 3 .
Now screw the plug nipple 3 into the com-
pressed air connection of the orbital sander 4 .
Be sure to tighten this connection with pliers us-
ing moderate force
Now push the compressed air hose onto the
plug nipple 3 , using moderate force, until the
hose locks into place.
Dust / shavings extraction
Be sure to read and follow the „Safety Instruc-
tions“ section.
Using the internal vacuum extraction
with dust collection device (see Fig. B):
Slide the exhaust air hose 9 onto the connec-
tion of the dust extraction 2 .
Then slip the opening of the dust bag 10 over
the loose end of the extraction hose 9 and
fasten the dust bag 10 .
Note: Empty the dust bag 10 in a timely
fashion and regularly to ensure optimal dust
extraction. To do so, open the hook-and-loop
fastener at the side of the dust bag
10 .
Adding oil
To ensure a long service life for the compressed air
orbital sander the unit must always be adequately
filled with pneumatic oil.
You may ensure this in any of the follow-
ing ways:
Connect a service unit with an oiler to the
compressor.
Install a compressed air oiler in the air line or
to the compressor.
Manually add approx. 3-5 drops of pneumatic
oil to the plug nipple 3 every 15 operating
minutes.
