M-10 Suspension Troubleshooting

Problem

Solution

Rear suspension bot-

toms too easily

• Increase FRA position (see setup decal under hood for ini-

tial position

• Increase X-over tube length (see setup decal under hood)
• Increase rear track shock coil spring preload
• Increase front track shock coil spring preload
• Change to optional stiff rear track shock compression

spring (see your dealer)

• Revalve rear track shock compression damping (see your

dealer)

• Check track tension

Rides too stiff in rear

• Decrease FRA position (see setup decal under hood)
• Decrease rear track shock coil spring preload
• Change to optional soft rear track shock compression

spring (see your dealer)

• Revalve rear track shock compression damping (see your

dealer)

• Check track tension

Machine darts from

side to side

• Make sure skis are aligned properly
• Make sure spindles and all steering components turn

freely

• Make sure skags are straight on skis
• Increase IFS preload
• Ensure use of Accu-Trak dual skags

Front end pushes

• Check for worn skags
• Check for binding suspension shafts and grease all pivot

points

• Increase front IFS preload
• Shorten front limiter strap

Steering is heavy

• Check ski alignment
• Check skags and skis for damage
• Decrease IFS preload
• Make sure spindles and all steering components turn

freely
