Warm Weather Starting Procedure (above 40° F)
In warmer temperatures, using full choke may cause the engine to “flood”, even if the engine is “cold”. Use the follow-
ing procedure to prevent this from happening.
1. Turn key to “On”.
2. Pull kill switch (shut - off switch) up to “run” position.
3. Flip choke toggle to “Half On” position.
4. Grasp starter handle and pull slowly until recoil engages; then pull to start.
If engine does not start in 3 pulls, flip choke toggle to “Off” position and slightly depress the throttle (no more than 1/4²
open), then pull to start. As soon as the engine starts, release the throttle.
