MAINTENANCE
Headlight Lamp Replacement
High Intensity Discharge (HID) Lamps
High intensity discharge lamps should be handled only by a trained technician wearing the appropriate protective
gear. See the VICTORY Service Manual or an authorized VICTORY dealer.
Halogen Lamps (8-Ball Models)
Avoid touching a halogen lamp with bare fingers. Oil from your
skin leaves a residue, causing a hot spot that will shorten the life
of the lamp. If a lamp is touched, clean it thoroughly with
denatured alcohol.
1. Unplug the wiring harness from the back of the headlight (lift
the tab). Be sure to pull on the connector, not on the wiring.
2. Remove the spent lamp (3). Apply dielectric grease to the
socket and install a new lamp.
3. Reinstall the wiring harness.
