The Editor’s Role
News editors use the Assignment List Manager component of NewsQ Pro to
receive assignments from the producer and return completed assignments.
The Assignment List Manager runs on the computer with the NewsEdit editing
system. Editors create clips and sequences in NewsEdit as usual and send them
to a Profile Video Server. A playback operator then uses the clips in NewsQ Pro
to create a playlist and control the playback of clips to air.
This chapter is written for news editors and discusses how to use the
Assignment List Manager to:
• Receive assignments from your producer
• Send completed sequences to a Profile Video Server
• Create new clip placeholders
• Change clip assignments
• Update clips
