 Disconnect electricity to the appliance. (If equipped with Optional Fan Kit)
 Remove the glass door and the logs. See glass door instructions.
 Remove the burner tray by loosening and removing the two mounting screws located on the
burner cover and burner.
 Shut off the gas to the appliance and disconnect the gas line to the appliance.
 If the appliance has a remote switch or thermostat, disconnect their wires at the front of the
valve.
 Remove the four screws holding the gas component assembly plate to the appliance.
 Gently lift the assembly up and tilt the back up to clear the front of the valve from the
opening.
 Replacing the assembly is the reverse of the above instructions.
REPLACING VALVE PLATE ASSEMBLY
 Remove the gas component (valve plate) assembly, see above.
 See fan wiring diagram. See above.
 Mark all wires to be removed for proper reassembly. CAUTION: Wiring errors cause
improper and dangerous operation.
 The convection blower is located at the bottom of the appliance at the back. Remove the
three screws holding the blower.
 Lift the blower out and disconnect the wires from the blower.
