• in most cases, using the transmitter infrequently will not permit you
to gain full benefit from it .
• the use of the transmitter is only part of hearing habilitation and
may need to be supplemented by auditory training and instruction
in lipreading .
• the use of the transmitter increases the risk of accumulation of ear-
wax . contact your physician/ent doctor if you suspect that a plug of
earwax has accumulated in your ear . it is a good idea to ask your phy-
sician to clean your ears a couple of times a year .
