Selecting tracks
Searching forward/backward
To search forward/backward, press and hold a skip (.//)
button on the main unit or the remote control (for more than one
second) during playback. When you find the point where you want to
listen, press the play (y) button on the main unit or the play/pause
(y/9) button on the remote control.
Repeatedly press and hold a skip (.//) button for more than
one second to change the forward/backward search speed to one of
three levels.
The speed that the < or > blinks on the display also changes.
Low speed
Medium speed
High speed
Playback at normal speed

To change the forward/backward search speed, briefly press a skip
(.//) button several times. Do not press and hold it.
Skipping tracks
During playback, press a skip button (.//) on the main unit
or the remote control to skip to the previous or next track and start
playback.
o
Press the . button once to return to the beginning of the cur-
rent track. Press the . button repeatedly to return to an earlier
track.
If the playback position is less than one second from the begin-
ning of the current track, however, pressing the . button will
skip to the beginning of the previous track.

When stopped or paused, use the .// buttons to select a
track and pause at its beginning.
Display
During disc playback and when paused, each time the DISPLAY but-
ton is pressed, the information shown on the display changes as
follows.
Examples:
Track number of
currently playing track
Elapsed time of currently
playing track

Remaining time of currently playing track
c
Disc elapsed time
c
Disc remaining time
o
When stopped, the total number of tracks and total playback time
of the disc are shown.
