1. RRCCAA IInnppuutt JJaacckkss -- Accepts line level
outputs from head units or signal
processors at voltages between
150mV and 8 volts.
2. RRCCAA OOuuttppuutt JJaacckkss -- These pass
through RCA jacks can be used to
send a signal to a second amplifier. It
is the summed stereo output of the
one through four channel inputs of
the amplifier.
3. SSttaattuuss LLEEDD - Lights GREEN to indi-
cate the amplifier is on and oper-
ating normally, and will be off if the
amplifier shuts down due to short
circuit, DC offset, or overheating
detected by the on-board protection
circuitry.
4. RReem
moottee SSuubb LLeevveell CCoonnttrrooll - Controls
the gains of channels five and six
from a remote location and can be
used only when the crossover selec-
tion switch for channels five and six
is set to the low pass (LPF) position.
If connecting to a source with a
dedicated subwoofer output and
volume control, using the Remote
Sub-Level Control would be redun-
dant and is not recommended.
NNOOTTEE::
If the Remote Sub-Level Control is used with a
signal processor or head unit that has a
subwoofer output/crossover but no volume
control, set the amplifiers channels five and six
crossover selection switch to the LPF position and
crossover adjustment to 500Hz. This will allow
the head unit/signal processor crossover to
control the crossover point and slope, and the
Remote Sub-Level Control to control the gain.
W
Waarrnniinngg:: DO NOT connect a level control knob from other
manufacturers to the Remote Sub Level Control of
any Directed amplifier. Even though the connectors
fit properly, the control knob and connector pin
positions may be different and the amplifier will be
damaged.
