GENERAL SAFETY RULES

WARNING! READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

Failure to follow all instructions listed may result in electric shock, fire and/
or serious personal injury.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

AREA OF USE:

Keep surrounding area clean and well lit. Cluttered areas invite accidents.

ÜÚ

Do not operate in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable

ÜÚ

liquids, gases, or dust.

ELECTRICAL SAFETY

Do not override the timer switch.

ÜÚ

Do not operate in standing water

ÜÚ

Do not overload with garments

ÜÚ

Do not cut-off or restrict air circulation

ÜÚ

Do not expose Transporter™ to rain or snow

ÜÚ

Do not put any objects into openings.

ÜÚ

Always disconnect from any electrical outlet when not in use.

ÜÚ

Do not operate with a damaged cord.

ÜÚ

Unit is not intended for or should be used for heating purposes.

ÜÚ

Do no use cord as a handle or pull cord around sharp edges or corners.

ÜÚ

Use of attachments not recommended or sold by DryGuy™ may result in a risk or fire,

ÜÚ

electric shock, or injury to persons.
To reduce risk of damage to electric plug and cord, never jerk or yank cord to disconnect

ÜÚ

from outlet; pull by plug rather than cord when disconnecting unit.
Make sure cord is located so that it will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise

ÜÚ

subjected to damage or stress
An extension cord should not be used unless absolutely necessary. Use of improper

ÜÚ

extension cord could result in a risk of fire, electric shock or electrocution.
Two-wire cords can be used with 2-wire or 3-wire extension cords. Only round jacketed

ÜÚ

extension cords should be used and we recommend that they be listed by Underwriters
Laboratories (U.L.). If the extension is to be used outside, the cord must be suitable for
outdoor use. Any cord marked for outdoor use can also be used for indoor use. The let-
ters “W” or “WA” on the cord jacket indicate that the cord is suitable for outdoor use.
An extension cord must have adequate wire size (AWG or American Wire Gauge) for safety,

ÜÚ

and to prevent loss of power and overheating. The smaller the gauge number of the wire,
the greater the capacity of the cable; that is, 16 gauge has more capacity than 18 gauge.
When using more than one extension to make up the total length, be sure each extension
contains at leas the minimum wire size.
DryGuy™ Transporter™ has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as

ÜÚ

required by Underwriters Laboratories. To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is
intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet,
reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the
plug in any way.

.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Plug the DryGuy™ Transporter™ into any standard 120 volt /household plug.

1.

2.

board boots and gloves simultaneously and other types of shoes hiking, golf, basketball,
soccer, and all other cleated and athletic shoes. The DryGuy™ Transporter™ also dries
Children’s shoes and mittens as well.
Select the proper voltage for your location: 120 Volt is standard in North America and

3.

240 Volt is standard in Europe and South America
Carefully rotate the two arms to a downward position perpendicular to the body. Gently

4.

pull the lower telescoping tubes out to chosen length to fit into boot. Gently pull top tele-
scoping tubes up to dry gloves all the time being very careful not to restrict air flow into
the garments or block air flow into the blower assembly on the side of the Transporter™.
Set unit to desired time setting by pressing and holding the switch at the back of the unit

5.

for 5 seconds to initially activate the control – NOTE*** Important: You must press and
hold the push button on back of unit for 5 seconds to activate unit! Once the LED’s light,
you gently press the switch to the desired time setting.

Helpful Tips:

When drying boots, shoes, gloves, mittens and/or children’s boots and shoes be sure not

1.

to pinch off air circulation. Open garments completely to allow maximum air exchange.
We recommend drying footwear after every use to help prevent bacteria and fungus

2.

growth. The primary cause of shoe odor.
Smaller footwear and garments will dry quicker than larger items.

3.

Your new energy efficient DryGuy™ Transporter™ heats to a gentle temperature of

4.

roughly 100° Fahrenheit and uses “Forced Air” technology to gently and quickly dry
wet garments. There is not, however, a forceful air stream which might possibly dam-
age sensitive garments. At first you may actually assume the unit is not operating and
we recommend placing the back of your hand near the drying nozzles to better feel the
gently warmed air stream.

Operation Time:

2 to 6 hours – avoid over-drying!

ÜÚ

Drying time varies depending upon extent of moisture, temperature, humidity, size of foot-

ÜÚ

wear and garments.
We typically recommend a minimum of one hour drying time every time your boots are used.

ÜÚ

While in operation, the unit although relatively quiet, produces minimal noise. This is a

ÜÚ

normal condition and does not indicate a problem.

Maintenance:

Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean the DryGuy™ Transporter™. Never let any liquid
get inside the motor; never immerse any part of the motor into liquid.
