5.5.16 Change air filter element
[Every 1,000 hours]
When an element that is clogged or has holes or cracks is used, dust or foreign material will get in the
engine. This causes accelerated wear in each sliding part of the engine. Be sure to make daily check
and cleaning so that the life of the engine will not be shortened
.
Even before 500 hours of use, if it is used under harsh
conditions, remove the element“1”, “ 2”,check and clean
it. If it is found difficult to restore it, change it a little
earlier. (See 5.4.)
When installing a new element, pay attention to the
followings.
Put the element fully into the case.
Make sure there is no foreign matter at the contact
face of the case.
Make sure to install it correctly not to push out O-ring
“ 3”of the cup.
5.5.17 Check each rubber hose
[Every 1 year or every 1,000 hours]
When any crack or wear is found on the hoses, change it even before the scheduled time.
Ask your nearest dealer for its replacement.
5.5.18 Clean the strainer provided inside the engine feed pump
[Every 1,000 hours]
Periodically remove the strainer“1”inside the
feed pump, and clean it.
Remove the strainer“1”by loosening the joint
bolt and clean it with diesel fuel oil, and also
using high air pressure blow. At this time be
sure to replace gasket
. (See 5.4) Then after
finishing all cleaning jobs, install it again in
reverse steps.
Be sure to properly clean air filter element
